Texas Well Owner Network Program

Bellville Fire Department 511 W. Main St., Bellville

This event will be held at the Bellville Volunteer Fire Department, 511 W. Main Street. This program is free to attend and will provide education for private well owners on groundwater resources, septic system maintenance, well maintenance, water quality, and water treatment. Approved sample containers may be brought to have the water screened for nitrate-nitrogen, total dissolved solids (TDS), and E. Coli. The cost to have a sample screened is $10 and this can be brought to the meeting.

Homeowner Maintenance of Septic System Class

Washington County Fairgrounds Sales Facility 1305 E. Blue Bell Rd., Brenham

This 2 hour class provides a basic understanding of the operational and maintenance activities of conventional and aerobic septic systems, and explains how activities within the home impact septic systems. Presentations will cover the treatment processes, health and safety considerations, and an overview of how to inspect and maintain the system.
